Silent Power Co. — DMV

Same-day and last-minute generator rental in the DMV

Delivered, quiet, and clean

Sometimes the power problem isn't planned. The venue turns out to have one working outlet. The open house is at a property with the utilities off. The shoot location is a beautiful building with no service. Somebody needs power on site tomorrow morning.

We rent battery power on short notice across Washington DC, Maryland and Northern Virginia — delivered, set up, and taken away when you're done.

What we get called for

We're built for clean, quiet, event-grade power. We're not a fit for heavy or dirty construction — no large compressors, welders, or heavy continuous industrial draw.

Why battery makes sense for indoor and occupied spaces

This is where it stops being a preference and becomes a requirement.

No carbon monoxide. A combustion generator cannot safely run inside, in a garage, in a partially enclosed space, or under a canopy. A battery unit has no exhaust at all — nothing burning, nothing to vent.

No fumes or smell. You can't stage a house for buyers with exhaust drifting through it, and you can't shoot in a space that smells like gasoline.

No noise. Under 30 dB, versus 60–75 dB for a typical portable gas generator. That's the difference between a usable audio take and a wasted one — and between a showing that feels premium and one that doesn't.

No fuel on site. Nothing to store, spill, or explain to a building manager.

It shows up ready

That's the point of calling us instead of renting a machine.

No trip to Home Depot. No 200-pound generator to load and unload. No gas cans in the back of a clean car. No refueling in the middle of a showing or a take. We deliver it on a cart, place it where you need it, plug in the distribution unit, and collect it afterward. Delivery, setup, and pickup are included within 20 miles of Chevy Chase, DC.

We bring the distribution unit and cords. Keep it out of direct sun and rain.

Short notice, honestly

We operate Friday through Sunday for most events, with weekdays by request — and short-notice weekday work is a lot of what this page is about. Availability depends on whether a unit is already booked, so the honest answer is: ask, and we'll tell you straight away whether we can cover you. Text is fastest.

Questions

How fast can you deliver?

Depends on what's already booked. Text or send an inquiry with your date, location and what you're powering, and we'll answer quickly.

Can it run indoors?

Yes — that's a core advantage. No combustion means no carbon monoxide and no exhaust, so it's usable inside, in garages, and in enclosed spaces where gas generators are unsafe.

Will it be quiet enough to film around?

Yes. There's no engine. Rated under 30 dB — it won't sit under your audio the way a gas generator does.

How long will it last?

Entirely load-dependent. Tell us what you're running and for how long and we'll size it — up to two inverters and six batteries.

Do you handle construction sites?

Light, clean work — finish trades, lighting, small tools, staging, inspections. Not heavy or dirty industrial loads.

What area do you cover?

Delivery is included within 20 miles of Chevy Chase, DC, which covers most of the DMV. Farther out, ask.
